Movirtu works with mobile service providers located in Sub-Sahara Africa and South Asia deploying network infrastructure solutions and implementing sustainable business models that realise basic voice access and connectivity for people earning less than two dollars a day.

Network infrastructure

Our infrastructure solutions consist of both high resiliency computer hardware and modular software which is integrated into the core of an existing GSM network together with administrative and network management tools. Our solutions consist of developed proprietary products and selected specialised offerings from partners. We have experience of working with most core network vendors including Ericsson, Nokia Siemens Networks, Alcatel Lucent and Huawei.

Consultancy services

We work with our clients to implement business models that deliver sustainable revenue and create the conditions to make access to basic mobile communication services affordable allowing the opportunity for people at the "Base of the Pyramid" to use mobile phones. These services include consultancy to understand better the needs and dynamics of the people in the BoP market, helping to build the local ecosystem of vendors and suppliers, and enabling innovative financial models and physical distribution strategies.
